At County Sips, our love for Prince Edward County and all the amazing wineries the local area has to offer is embodied by our incredibly knowledgeable and charismatic sommelier Ian Nicholls.
Ian has spent countless days in the county learning the terroir and exploring the vineyards and wineries.
He is delighted to showcase the wines of this new VQA region through guided tours and local tasting events.
Ian has been involved in the hospitality industry in Kingston for more than 30 years.
Ian created an Ontario VQA wine list at Tango, his former restaurant, and hosted many tours of the county from 2007 to 2013. In 2015, he founded County Sips to share his enthusiasm for Prince Edward County wines.
His passion for the industry is infectious and his eagerness for passing on his incredible acumen is evidenced in every tour he gives.
You’ll have a splendid day of fun with your family and friends when taking a tour with Ian as your guide.

My name is Chris Reed. I’m originally from England and emigrated to Canada in 2001. I have lived in Kingston and surrounding area for the last 21 yrs.
During this time, I got to know about the jewel that is Prince Edward County. Seeing the development of wineries over that time keeps drawing me back year on year.
To that extent I love to conduct wine tours especially with people new to the county so that they can experience all that Prince Edward County has to offer.
